TELG’s Oswald to Speak at DC Bar ‘Changing Currents’ Event
Posted on September 4, 2014R. Scott Oswald of The Employment Law Group® law firm is among 11 prominent attorneys who will present at the DC Bar’s annual Changing Currents in Employment Law event, which will take place on October 21, 2014, at the DC Bar Conference Center in Washington, D.C.
Changing Currents offers an evening of education for lawyers, hosted each year by the DC Bar to bring its members — and others — up-to-date on significant developments in employment law. Mr. Oswald, managing principal of The Employment Law Group, will speak on the impact of two decisions from the most recent term of the U.S. Supreme Court: Lawson v. FMR LLC and Burrage v. United States.
The event will cover four other topics:
- ‘Short Term’ Disabilities and Reasonable Accommodations under the ADAAA
- Non-Competition Enforcement and Invalidation: Tools to Fight for Your Client’s Right to (Restrict) Work
- Avoiding Litigation Without Giving Up the Farm: Settlement Strategies, Negotiations, and Concerns in the 21st Century
- A Company’s Duty to Investigate and the Implications Thereof
Attorneys and others can register on the DC Bar’s Web site; membership of the DC Bar is not required to attend Changing Currents. The event starts at 6pm. Fees start at $89 and include 3 hours of CLE credit.
