Marlene Cosme
Law Clerk
Marlene Cosme is a law clerk at The Employment Law Group® law firm. She is currently an evening student at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and aspires to be a civil rights/immigration and property lawyer.
While visiting D.C. in September 2019, Ms. Cosme fell in love with the city and decided she wanted to pursue law in the capital. As soon as she saw an opening with TELG, she took the opportunity and applied. Prior to being a law clerk, Ms. Cosme worked at TELG as a senior project assistant, providing administrative support to the legal staff and client intake and assisting in preparation for trials. She also maintained and updated databases used for documentation and processing.
Ms. Cosme graduated from Florida State University in May 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Criminology and a Certificate in Emergency Management Systems. During undergrad, she interned at a public defender’s office and worked in the capital division, where she assisted in collecting evidence from crime scenes, conducted investigations, and briefed attorneys on relevant case information.
Outside of work, Ms. Cosme enjoys reading and playing volleyball.
